Today our sweet little Peanut turns four years old.
Abby, you are such a sweet, smart, lovable, kind, feisty, imaginative little lady. Here are just some of our favorite things about you.
Your imagination - wow, can you imagine. You can take any toy or object around you and create an entire scene inside your head with it. In fact, your visions are so clear in your head that if whoever you are playing with says something NOT in your vision, you are sure to correct them. "No Mommy, the pony doesn't say 'hello' it says, 'How are you today'." There is no veering from your script!
Girly tomboy - You love to wear dresses and skirts every day. You will say, "Ok Mom, I'm going to do a pattern, like, dress today, skirt tomorrow, dress, skirt, dress skirt." But, no matter what you are wearing, if you see a puddle, sand or mud to play in, you get down and dirty. You LOVE to get dirty. And you love being in your bare feet. And when I find that you have succesfully gotten mud all over you and I give you a look of "why did you just do that?", you say, "Whaaaat??? I LOVE getting dirty!" Especially with your cousin, Ben. Boy, you guys get into some mischief now. It's great. Which leads you to another favorite activity..the bath! You will sit in a bath tub for a very long time pretending with whatever toys you have on hand!
Taylor Swift - She is your favorite singer by far right now. We listen to her CD Fearless on repeat in the car over and over and over. You know basically every word to every song on that CD. Love Story is still your favorite though.
Your smile - It's killer. I mean seriously. Those dimples. It's pretty hard to resist your cuteness with that blonde blonde hair and beautiful smile.
Your stories - You are getting much better at your story telling. Your hands get into it now and your mouth is always very exaggerated. It looks like you are pronouncing each word so someone can read your lips from afar when you are really into one of your stories.
Reading - You LOVE books and reading. In fact, it has gotten to the point that Ethan now asks you to read to him! You are great at looking at the pictures and making up a whole story....even if you haven't read the book before.
Drama - Everything is THE WORST or THE BEST. For instance, if things just aren't going your way at the moment - "This is the worst day eva!" Or if Ethan really made you mad - "Ethan, you are the worst brother eva!" OR if something you like just happened, "This is the best day ever!" or "you are the best mommy eva!"
Crying - You still cry a lot. At least once, but more like 5 or 6 times a day. You have such a little squeaky voice still.....until someone crosses you and THEN all the sudden your voice is ear piercing loud. Everything is cry worthy...even something simple like, "I can't get my shoe on".
School - This was your first year at a new school, Apple Hill. You did great! I was amazed at how much you learned this year. In fact, even now in the summer time you are still telling me facts about things you learned at school. We were at Grants Farm the other day and when we saw the ostrich you said, "Did you know that they can run really fast? I learned that in school!" So, you remembered a lot of what Mrs. Karsten taught you!
