SNOWPOCALYPSE!

A huge weather system has traveled through the entire midwest and up into the northeastern states. Monday night the weather forecasters were bracing us for the worst. "This is going to be a combination of the two worst storms St. Louis has ever seen." "Inches of ice followed by a foot of snow." "Run to the stores and gather supplies!" So, we did just that and braced ourselves for the worst storm in St. Louis history.....

....then they were wrong.

We DID get the ice. And most of the day Tuesday it did sleet. But, we got MAYBE an inch of snow and that's being generous.

Here's the kids eating icicles that formed off our bbq grill:

The icicles

Close up of one of our trees covered in ice.

Shot of our front yard. All that white is sleet. No snow yet!

This morning Brian went to clear our front walkway. He had to use an ice chipper. This is how thick the layer of ice/sleet was

I am impressed you have an ice chipper. Ha. We went outside to play in the ice/snow this morning.
