Ethan's 9th Birthday

Our Ethan is NINE years old today!  Hard to believe he is in 3rd grade and getting so big.  He already seems to be growing like a weed.  It feels like we are buying him new shoes every couple of months because his toes poke out of the top.  And he is eating so much already!  Every day I pack what I consider to a large lunch and he still wants to buy a snack when he's done!  

We are so proud of the little man he is becoming.  He is so polite and kind to others.  At his parent teacher conference, his teacher told me truly what a joy he is to have in the classroom.  She finds herself wanting to just sit and talk with him because he is so well spoken and a great conversationalist.  His grades, as always, are stellar.

Our gift to him this year was to redecorate his room a bit.  So over a couple weeks we painted, reorganized furniture and built him some new shelves above his desk.  Now it has an older feel to it for our big 9 year old.

On his birthday he got donuts in the morning along with some presents.  I brought up Jimmy John's for him at lunch and got to see the special birthday glasses he got to wear in his classroom.  And for dinner he wanted ribs, so we went to PM BBQ!  A pretty awesome birthday!
