Abby is a whole hand!

Our little princess Abby turns five today!

Oh Peanut, how we love you.  You have grown so much this year!  You had a really good year at Apple Hill this year with Mrs. Bayless.  It was really fun to watch you learn and progress so much.  Even though you will be young in your Kindergarten class, they suggested you still go because you are so academically ready.   And speaking of growing, you actually shot up 2 whole inches this school year!

You have been taking gymnastics now for about 8 months now and you are loving it.  You look forward to going each week and have so much fun!  Recently one of the teacher helpers that had not seen you for awhile commented on how much progress you have made.  For being so little, you are strong!  A couple moms have even commented on how strong your legs look!

You and Ethan have really taken off imagining together.  This year you broke out of pretending in your own little world and started including him.  I think it's hilarious that Ethan can walk in a room and say, "Hey Ab, you want to play ponies?"  And you two are off.  The amount of times I hear "And then" also cracks me up.  You guys are constantly progressing your stories...."and then, the pony flies in the sky."  "and then the mean pony gets them."  Back and forth your imaginations go!

You love jewelry and dressing up in dresses and skirts.....but oh yeah....you still LOVE getting dirty.  Just the other day at the park, you dumped an entire bucket of sand over your head....multiple times.  You and Emily bond over this.  She'll get right in there with you.

Beyond that, you and Emily seem to "bicker" a lot.  Emily is interested in your toys, so she is always trying to get them from you in her not so nice way.  Sometimes you are calm about it, and other times you guys just scream at each other until I have to break it up.  Even though you are super nice to Emily, she still doesn't like getting hugs and sometimes she randomly bites you.  But in the end you always forgive her and try to give her hugs anyway.

Your bed.  You have about 20 stuffed animals that you sleep with every night.  There is barely any room for you!  You get in and wrap one arm around them all and pull the blanket up over your head.  Most mornings you wake up all sweaty because of this.

Abby you are such a joy in our lives.  You are a ray of sunshine.  Your blonde hair, your perfect skin, your big blue eyes and that smile.  Best. Smile. Ever.  You are so loving and I am so proud to be your Mom.  I can't wait to see how Kindergarten goes for our big 5 year old this year and all the things you will learn.  We love you!
