Look at that cutie! She is a bundle of energy and personality. It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to be sad around her. Her cute little face is always so bright and smiling.
Here are my favorite things about Emily right now.
- She's just now starting to talk. With as much personality as this little girl has, it's pretty hilarious that she doesn't talk. If you ask her yes and no questions, she will nod her head though. She says, Mama, Dada, Baba (Abby), Pa Pa (Grandpas) Nana, Papa, No, mil (milk), peeeeeeee (please). Plus she is starting to repeat more.
- Her best bud still continues to be Grandpa. She just loves him. When we pull up to their house she starts kicking her legs and saying "Pa Pa, Pa Pa!!" When she sees him he always gets a hug and sometimes a kiss. She'll randomly go out to him and just hug his leg. She just lights up around him.
- Her face is so expressive. One of my favorites is her scared face shown below.
- She can point when I name some of her body parts: ears, hair, eyes, mouth, nose, fingers and toes.
- She still moves pretty much all the time. But now every once in awhile you will catch her sitting down with a book and paging through it looking at the pictures. Her favorite right now is a book of princess stories that Abby got for Christmas. She loves "rella" (Cinderella)
- She still gets in trouble a lot and the word "no" is like breathing to her. I've starting saying "stop", which at least will get her to stop for just a second to look at me and confirm that she is going to continue to do what I am telling her not to.
- She has to be the one to initiate a hug or kiss....with the kids especially. They love her so much and just want to hug her, but every time they do, she screams and pushes them away. But ever so often she will hug them and it makes them SO happy. Same for me and Brian. When you ask for a kiss she won't do it. But sometimes she will be so huggy and it's adorable.
- Sometimes I think she thinks that she is at least 3 years old. If her siblings are doing something, then by God, she's going to do it to. No boundaries for her.
- After Disney she has really taken to Minnie Mouse and the princesses. She has a Minnie doll that she loves to sleep with at night. Now she recognizes her Disney clothes and points to them when we are picking out clothes in the morning.
- When any kind of music comes on, she automatically starts bobbing her head to the beat.
Emily, you sure are a trip. I feel like there are so many more things I could say about you. Every day you make me laugh. You keep me on my toes and tire me out, but I wouldn't change that for the world with that spunky little personality you have!
